Today is the final day of my week long training class/trade show trip here to Minnisota for my work. It has been a very cool show with lots of the very latest high tech gadgets and ideas. This city is pretty boring and I will be glad to go back to SF where there are more freaks that make life more interesting.
Well i better get back to overloading this T1 line i am on. Last night I was multitasking and actually bogging down the T1 line... ahhhh the thrills of life!

I have finally gotten bored enough to update my Journal.
Well i am in Minneapolis Minnisota for a week for the CEDIA EXPO 2002 – September 25-29 – Minneapolis
which is one of the leading training and expo meetings for my field of work. There is a lot of good stuff here to learn about but sitting in classes has been getting kinda boring. Esp since i have not been in school for over 6 years now (old fart) the inconvienence of sitting around listening to someone rant on and on can get annoying. Overall its a great learnin experience and looks very good on my resume.
The weather has been kinda cold and rainy which is starting to get to me. Our hotel has a nice big indoor hot tub and pool but last night the pool was closed for cleaning so I hung out in the hot tub.
Well i gotta go now as i have a class in a few minutes and want to get a good seat to fall asleap in :)

i have finally gotten moved into my new 3 br place on Yerba Buena island and i am LOVING it a lot. It overlooks Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, Marin, Mt Tam, and part of downtown SF. Amazing views and really pretty place. Everyone should come over and see it. We are still workign on unpacking and buying stuff for it so its still kinda a mess. there will be an official housewrming party in august once we have made the place more presentable. But until then you are welcome to drop by and check it out.
4th of july weekend was a LOT of fun out on Lake Oroville up in northern Calif watersking and wakeboarding while staying on my uncles houseboat for 3 days. A LOT of fun. Then we drove home... changed.. went out to several clubs on saturday night till 3 am. Got up at 7:30 am on sunday morining an drove to Santa Cruz and spent the day surfing with my cousin who i have not seen in a few years. Busy weekend of hard partying/vacation.. and now back to work.. but at least work has not been that bad lately. I will post pics of the vacation when Lena gets them *ahem* up.. *ahem* ..loaded *ahem*.

Okay... a good friend of mine just called me up and we chatted for about 10 minutes about lots of different things.. Parties,friends,clubs,life and yada yada.. the usual. so about 5 minutes into the convo I begin to wonder who i am talking to. I was talking about several up coming events and he seemed confused about what i was talking about. I explained it to him and then continued on chatting. Just as the phone call was ending i realized that I was talking to someone completely different from who i thought i had been. I dunno if i know too many people or wha tbut i just have a 10 minute very involved convo with someone and i did not even know i was talking to someone completely different. At the end I just hung up confused and hoping he did not figure it out.
Oh well I think i need a diffrent life

I have been lagging in keeping my journal updated both because I have had a lot going on and not enough time to update it, and because not many people actually read it seems.
Anyhow my week was busy with work and a lack thereof. Over the past week my grandmother (Dad's side) has been fighting with sudden liver cancer. She was admitted to the hospital a little over a week ago for a slight pain in her side. They discovered the cancer and were beginning to treat it but it got worse quite fast. After a few days at the hospital is became clear that she had only a day or two to live so she was discharged and brought home to my Aunts house in Palm Springs. My dad came from New Mexico and my cousin Katie came up from San Diego. Kay hung in for a few more days and on Friday evening I decided to drive down to Palm Springs. I drove down there and arrived at 12:30 am early Saturday morning. She was quietly asleep and was not more than 15 minutes later at 12:45 am that she quietly stopped breathing. As hard as it was on her and everyone else I could not have asked for a better life and peaceful death.
Kay Merrick was born on April 22, 1925, and was married for 54 years. Up until right before she passed away she was always very active and healthy life. We will all miss her a lot.
Saturday morning we all had breakfast and went for a walk. The Palm Springs area is so beautiful and warm. My dad and I went to a flea market where I bought a really cool set of new sunglasses for $3!
In the evening Stan (grandpa), Matt & Marilyn (my aunt), Bob & Linda (my uncle), Katie (cousin), Ken & Kathy (my dad and his gf), and I went out to dinner at a really nice Italian restaurant. All of my family lives all over the country that we only see eachother every few years at best so it was nice to all be together. I had not seen Katie in 10-15 years and we live in the same state! LOLL
Sunday I went swimming with my grandpa and dad and then we played a game of horseshoes which I majorly sucked at. Oh well it was fun.
Spending the weekend down there was really nice and i miss the warm weather like they have down there. I will be heading back down to the L.A./San Diego/Palm Springs area again soon and if anyone is interested let me know because I am going soon. by myself if I have to!
Anyhow I just got home after driving @90 mph for about the past 6 hours so I am worn out. I have work tomorrow quite early.
